Founded in 1995, NORCAT is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to developing programs, services, and resources that provide our clients with the skills, competencies, and confidence to have meaningful and sustainable careers in the global mining industry.

To deliver on these priorities, NORCAT has worked with clients and partners around the world to develop and deliver an array of engaged on-line learning programs, instructor-led classroom training, hands-on/experiential in-the-field training programs, and integrated learning technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and equipment simulation tools.
NORCAT works with clients around the world on a variety of strategic and tactical projects. Our areas of expertise include compliance and risk management, talent and human capital, and innovation strategy and policy development.
Our diverse and experienced team includes highly qualified professionals from leadership, strategy, and operational backgrounds. Together our teams deliver innovative and customized solutions and expertise to create a positive and lasting impact.
Further to this, NORCAT is the only regional innovation centre in the world that has an operating mine designed to enable start-ups, small/medium enterprises, and international companies to develop, test, and showcase innovative and emerging technologies in an operating mine environment. Proudly, the NORCAT Underground Centre has become the global destination to see the emerging technologies that are poised to transform the mining industry.
